Hello Bridlewood!
Please remember Tuesday June 4th, 2019 is Bike to School Day. It is a day we like to challenge our teachers and students to ride their bikes to school, in hopes of increasing physical activity and school spirit within our students.
Please remember to wear your helmet and have it labeled with your name. Parents, please review bike safety rules with your children before they come to school. Please make sure your bike is labeled with your name, grade and teacher. Students that go home for lunch will lock their bikes up as usual at the bike racks. All students that eat lunch at school will enter the gym through the compound doors and store their bikes under their grade name and teacher for the day. At the end of the day, we will call grade groups down to pick up their bikes for dismissal from the gym.
Please remember to walk your bike across the crosswalks and school property so we can keep everyone safe.
The doors to the gym will open at 8:00 am on the compound to help you safely park your bike in our gym.
Our goal is to have at least 375 people bike to school. Let’s beat our record Bridlewood! Remember parents, students would love to see you out on your bikes with them on Tuesday June 4th, 2019, supporting the event and being active.
Please watch the weather forecast, if it’s supposed to rain all day, the event will be canceled.
Happy pedaling Bridlewood!

Duckling Update: We have 4 new baby ducklings. Duck 1 was born Friday, May 10 around 10:20am. Duck 2 was born Friday, May 10 around 1:30pm. Duck 3 was born Friday, May 10 around 3:47pm. And finally, duck 4 was born Sunday around 7:47am. They are a healthy and happy bunch. They love playing in their water dish, eating, and napping under the heat lamp. We love to hear their peeps. Sadly, duck 5 didn't hatch for reasons that are unknown.

Our eggs are getting closer to hatching. We have put them on lockdown so the little ducklings can get into their hatching position. Our fingers are crossed that we will meet them by the end of this week. If you watch closely, you should be able to see one of our eggs wiggling.

Classroom Energy Diet Challenge-
The Classroom Energy Diet Challenge closed at the end of April. We worked hard and completed enough of the challenges that we were entered into the draw to win a prize. Today we received a letter congratulating us for our hard work and letting us know that we had won a prize. Great job Grade 4s!
We began to use our designs to begin determining the cost of building a duck brooder. We identified 7 things that our ducks NEED and everything else would be what they WANT or what we want for our ducklings.Duck Brooder
