Alien Inline Information: Students are welcome to bring their own skates and encouraged to bring their own helmets for inline skating days.

We are inviting you to our Celebration of Math night, which is taking place on Thursday, April 25th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. 


On Math Night you will have an opportunity to:
-learn about the progression of skills and strategies students use in computation from Kindergarten to Grade 6
-see various strategies that your child is learning in class related to computation
-learn about and play math games with your child to reinforce skills and concepts
-be provided with many suggestions to support and enhance your child’s math skills at home
-most importantly have fun and do math!

Math: Data collection and graphing

Did you know we can represent data in multiple ways? Today we represented our shoe size (we needed to know this for Alien Inline) using a t-chart, a pie chart, and a bar graph (mine might look more like a histogram because I was worried about the space on my page). Ask me how I was able to create each of these graphs using one strip of paper. It is pretty cool and we didn't need a protractor or compass either.
